This is a video on Easter this past year. That is my son giving an egg to my grandma that had a bunch of sticky notes inside leading her to the big surprise, that we were having a baby! It was so fun because a lot of family was there, my parents, my aunt, uncle, cousins and my grandfather who has been sick and in hospice with Parkinsons.
My son actually learned that day that he was going to be a big brother, and he was pumped! He wanted to hide the egg from my gram and it was so cute to see him bursting not to tell the big secret. I had been pretty sick already, I could hardly eat but also had to eat to keep the nausea away, but I didn't care because this had finally happened.
Sometimes I really question if I did all of that right. I was so excited to share this news with everyone as it had been so hard to get to this spot in the first place. It makes me wonder if I would do that all again. I had no reason to doubt that I would have a healthy baby

We really had a mission that trip to spend time with him, as we never know how much time he has left. My son loves his great grandparents and it was so neat to think that my next baby would know them as well. I have been told that sometimes, my grandpa, struggling with dementia from his disease still asks, "when is that baby coming?" It breaks my heart somedays to think about because I wanted them all to know each other. But I suppose they already do.
